CPH offers new Advent-Christmas resources, gift catalog

The 2010 children’s Christmas program from Concordia Publishing House, “God’s Love at Christmas,” is based on the children’s Christmas hymn, “God Loves Me Dearly.”  The hymn was originally written in 1852 by Rev. August Rische, a German Lutheran pastor who was working with homeless and disadvantaged children.

The complete planning CD contains two Christmas programs — one for preschool through eighth grade, and another for early childhood.

The CD includes recordings of hymns, songs and liturgy; director guides, teacher guides and congregation copies of the worship service; individual scripts for the worship service and early childhood program; clip-art patterns; song lyrics; and music texts and scores.

The related “Resource for Advent-Christmas Preaching and Worship” CD contains five sermon studies and sermons, four Bible studies, five children’s messages and worship resources — all based on the “God’s Love at Christmas” theme.

To order the “God’s Love at Christmas: Children’s Service” ($39.99, item no. 351346WEB) or “God’s Love at Christmas: Resources for Advent-Christmas Preaching and Worship” CD ($34.99, item no. 155142WEB), contact CPH at 800-325-3040 or visit its website at www.cph.org.
