LHM offers first Regional Outreach Conference

St. Louis-based Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) will be hosting its first Regional Outreach Conference Feb. 18-19 in Tempe, Ariz., a suburb of Phoenix.

The conference will offer inspirational and practical information that’s designed to “take individual ministry outreach to new — and more confident — heights,” according to an LHM news release.

Presenters will include Rev. Ken Klaus, speaker of “The Lutheran Hour” and Dr. Robert Newton, president of the LCMS California-Nevada-Hawaii District.

The conference will include workshops on topics such as faith-sharing, outreach strategies and the impact of mission trips; a “five14” witnessing training track for teens; and an outreach-themed vacation Bible school for children.

St. Louis singer Erin Bode will perform.

Registration is $99 for adults, $79 for teenagers in the “five14” track, and $59 for children from kindergarten through pre-teen.  Younger children are free.

Registration includes all main-stage and breakout sessions, the Bode concert, all meals on Saturday, access to exhibit-area resources, and continued training after the conference ends.  To register, call 800-876-9880 or visit www.lhm.org/roc/az_registration.asp.

Lodging at the conference site — the Fiesta Resort and Conference Center in Tempe — is $109 per night.  To reserve a room, call the resort at 800-528-6481 or visit www.lhm.org/roc/az_accomodations.asp.
