LWML offers free prayer service

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is offering a free prayer service on the theme “Beautiful Feet.”  It is based on Isaiah 52:7 — “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ ” — which served as the theme for the 2009 LWML convention in Portland, Ore.

The prayer service, authored by Rev. Philip Esala, senior pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kettering, Ohio, was created to reinforce the convention objectives:

  • Worship God, the Maker of all things.
  • Trust in the Lord, Who daily meets your needs.
  • Declare God’s peace and provision through tangible acts of mercy and grace.
  • Share the Good News of Jesus in everyday situations.

The service includes readings, prayer time, recommended songs, and ideas for enhancing the experience of worshipers.

The prayer service is available free from the LWML Web site at www.lwml.org.
