Empowered by the love of Christ, a ministry consultant advocates for and ministers to people with disabilities and their families, their support staff, congregations and communities, through visiting, teaching, consulting, resourcing and training.
A bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in religious education, social work, special education, etc.). The qualified candidate must be a member in good standing of a Lutheran congregation. Experience in developmental and intellectual disabilities, training in special education or early childhood education, or clinical pastoral education are helpful but not required.
