Beginning Tuesday, April 13, Reporter Online offers more religion news in a regular section called “Periscope: Religion news from around the world.”
“Periscope” was a feature in The Lutheran Witness magazine in years past that offered condensed versions of religion news stories. The new “Periscope” section also offers a variety of religion news — from the Washington, D.C.-based Religion News Service and other sources.
But, unlike its predecessor, Reporter Online’s “Periscope” offers entire stories, and photos, when available.
“By reintroducing ‘Periscope’ as a Reporter Online feature, we hope to again provide readers with a digest of interesting, informative religion news that may not always be available elsewhere,” said James Heine, Reporter’s executive editor. “In the past, Reporter has carried these kinds of stories also, but in recent years our space for such stories in the print version has declined.”
“Periscope” offers up to five stories at a time, with new stories added weekly.
