The theme for the 26th Annual Symposium on Exegetical Theology (Jan. 18-19) is “Israel and the New Israel: Learning about Church from the Scripture.” In observation of the 200th birthday of the Synod’s first president, Dr. C.F.W. Walther, the theme for the 34th Annual Symposium on the Lutheran Confessions (Jan. 19-21) is “C.F.W. Walther and His Times, His Theology and His Impact.”
