The fourth annual “Reaching Out Together” evangelism conference is planned for Feb. 11 on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
The conference is open to pastors, evangelism boards, church leaders and laypeople in the LCMS Missouri District and adjacent districts. It is designed to inspire, encourage, teach and provide opportunities to practice talking about Jesus 
The Rev. Gregory Seltz, speaker for “The Lutheran Hour,” will be keynote speaker.
Presenters for breakout sessions, and their topics, include:
- the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs, professor of Exegetical Theology at the seminary, “Life-Affirming Congregations.”
- the Rev. Mark Weisner, pastor of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, Ill., “Sharing Your Faith With A Believer of Islam.”
- Dr. Ralph Geisler, retired missionary/catalyst for rural and small-town churches with the Saint Paul’s Institute for Education in Concordia, Mo., “Reaching Rural, Small-Town Communities for Christ.”
- the Rev. Chad Lakies, a graduate student at Concordia Seminary, “Using Social Media for Evangelism.”
- the Rev. Kevin Parviz, executive director of Lutherans in Jewish Evangelism and pastor of Congregation Chai v’Shalom, St. Louis, “Reaching Out … to Your Congregation?”
- Andy Yount, a student in the seminary’s Specific Ministry Pastor program, “SMP: Formation, Reformation and Kingdom Growth.”
The conference is presented by the Saturday Outreach School, St. Louis, in conjunction with Concordia Seminary and the LCMS Missouri District.
Registration is $20 per person for the first four people from a single congregation ($15 for each additional participant) and includes lunch. The deadline is Feb. 1.
