A coloring contest for students in preschool through eighth grade is being sponsored for the third consecutive year by the Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) Float Committee.
Each year the committee plans, designs, raises funds for, promotes and decorates — along with volunteers called “Petal Pushers” — the LHM float, the only religious float in the New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.
Winners in each of four age-related categories will receive a Petal Pushers T-shirt, a float magnet and a family pass to the “Behind-the-Scenes Party,” which offers an opportunity to view the finished floats on the last night of decorating week.
