The LCMS Office of National Mission, St. Louis, seeks a manager, Disaster Response.
The candidate must be a member in good standing of an LCMS congregation and have training in theology from a Concordia University System school or an LCMS seminary, with post-graduate work in a related field (such as theology, sociology, psychology, medicine, etc.) preferred; and education/experience in disaster response or related field (i.e., military or military chaplain, emergency-services chaplain, first responder — police, fire, emergency medical technician). Specialized training in pastoral crisis counseling or chaplaincy preferred.
Job functions include: working cooperatively with others; supporting the work of the director of Disaster Response; keeping accurate records of all disaster-response activity; providing monthly reports; leading disaster-response training events; reviewing and updating manuals, handouts and other materials for training events.
