LCMS Life Ministries and Lutherans For Life (LFL) are both offering resources designed to help congregations observe “Life Sunday” on Jan. 20, 2013. The observance marks the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Jan. 2
The resources also may be used on an alternate date.
Life Ministries, a program area of the LCMS Office of International Mission, is providing free online resources including bulletin inserts, sermons, prayers, psalms and hymn suggestions, and study resources. To download the resources, go to www.lcms.org/lifesunday.
LFL is offering new bulletin inserts, a Bible study, sermons and a children’s message on the theme of “Living with Dying,” based on Phil. 1:21: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
The items from LFL are available for free or at nominal cost through Concordia Publishing House, www.cph.org, and some also are available as free downloads at www.lutheransforlife.org/store. For more information, call LFL at 888-364-LIFE (5433).
