In a new video available online for viewing and sharing, LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison offers a blessing and encourages the church to pray the Litany during this Lenten season.
“Prayer is a great blessing,” Harrison says in the video. “Martin Luther notes in the Small Catechism that when we pray ‘Our Father who art in heaven,’ we are invited to believe that God is our dear heavenly Father and we are His dear children, and He wants to hear us.”
In closing, Harrison offers a blessing: “May the Lord bless you in your Lenten devotion and give you repentance, thankfulness [and] confession but also joy in Jesus.”
