Thanks to a challenge grant from by Angel Tear Ministries, the Lutheran Malaria Initiative will have $250,000 to use in Africa, where nearly 700,000 people die from malaria each year. Much of the funding will be used to purchase and distribute insecticide-treated bed nets — the most cost-effective way to prevent malaria transmission. (Lutheran World Relief)
