 The Lutheran Witness welcomes notices 50 words or less from LCMS congre­gations about their upcoming “milestone” anniversaries. Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bennett, Colo., is celebrating its 30th anniversary October 23. St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville, Kan., will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the church building and 125th anniversary of the congregation Sunday, October 23, with Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 worship service. Catered meal will follow 10:30 service. At 2:00 p.m., there will be a dedication of the new pipe organ and recital.

 

St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lincolnton. N.C., is celebrating its 240th anniversary Sunday, October 30. Rev. Dr. John Denninger, Southeastern district president, will preach at the 11:00 service. A final celebration is also planned for Sunday, November 20.

 

St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pittsfield, Ill., is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the tent mission and the 55th anniversary of the church building on Reformation Sunday, October 30. Rev. Walt Otten of Lutheran Heritage Foundation will preach at the 10:00 a.m. worship service, followed by a potluck meal, fellowship, history presentation and memory sharing.

 

St. Paul Lutheran School, Royal Oak, Mich., celebrates “A Century of God’s Grace”. A special service of praise and thanksgiving is planned for Sunday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m. with former pastor Rev.
