CPH book provides steps for ‘Surviving Divorce’

In her newest release, Without This Ring: Surviving Divorce, author, speaker, Bible teacher and Artesian Ministries founder Donna Pyle draws from her own divorce experience to encourage readers who may be feeling “angry, vengeful, traumatized, relieved, hopeful, afraid — or all of the above.”

cph-divorce-INThrough testimonies of dozens of people, pastoral wisdom, professional counselors’ tools, Scripture and Bible study, Without This Ring is designed to equip readers to forgive, let go and embrace the future through the grace of God.

The book “addresses a topic we have needed to address in the church for a very long time,” says Deaconess Heidi Goehmann, MSW, LSW. “Not one page of this book speaks judgment; instead it speaks truth into our lives with care, while honoring those who have walked the road. It utilizes the voice of many individuals who have been there and can see the beauty in the broken. I love the counselor’s corner and the plethora of professional and practical wisdom.”

Topics covered in the book — which provides “Christ-centered steps toward hope and healing” — include:

  • forgiveness,
  • what the Bible says about divorce,
  • processing grief,
  • walking children through divorce,
  • managing your home and finances alone and
  • learning to trust again.

“You will learn to laugh and love again,” Pyle says. “This book can help you do it.”
