Lt. Col. Franklin Baltazar, 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry Regiment battalion commander, presents the Soldier’s Medal — the Army’s highest noncombat honor — to LCMS Chaplain (Capt.) Matthew Christensen in a March 14 ceremony at Fort Benning, Ga.
