Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, Ind., publishes its official magazine, For the Life of the World, every quarter. The Fall 2017 edition is now available in print and digital formats.
The theme of the current issue is “Distinctively Lutheran.” Included are articles on:
- “Distinctively Lutheran Worship” (by the Rev. Dr. Jon D. Vieker, senior assistant to the LCMS president),
- “Distinctively Lutheran Teaching” (by the Rev. Dr. Charles A. Gieschen, academic dean and professor of Exegetical Theology at CTSFW) and
- “Distinctively Lutheran in Word and Practice” (by the Rev. Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., CTSFW president).
Also included are articles about the seminary’s Deaf Ministry Program, news about its students and faculty, and information about upcoming events.
As described on its website, For the Life of the World seeks to speak “to the issues of the day from a confessional, Lutheran perspective” and offer “thoughtful insight into the complexities facing our Church, our community and each individual.”
It is mailed free to all pastors and congregations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in the United States and Canada and to anyone interested in the work of CTSFW.
