St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Port Hope, Mich., is celebrating its sesquicentennial on September 16. Rev. Dr. Charles Gieschen, Academic Dean & Professor of Exegetical Theology, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will preach at the 3:00 p.m. service.
Trinity Lutheran Church, Paola, Kan., is celebrating its 150th anniversary November 4. Rev. Dr. Lane Burgland, former pastor, will preach at the 10:00 a.m. service. Guest preacher for the 2:00 p.m. service will be Rev. Peter Lange, Kansas district president. A building dedication and luncheon will follow the morning service; a reception will follow the afternoon service.
