At Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Maj. Squires said he couldn’t conduct a Strong Bonds marriage retreat with same-sex couples due to the requirements of his chaplain-endorsing agency, the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Chaplain assistant SSG Kacie Griffin also faces disciplinary action for informing the same-sex couple that Chaplain Squires wanted to talk to them about the event.
