The “Adopt-a-Chap” program connects LCMS congregations with the Synod’s Ministry to the Armed Forces (MAF) by matching LCMS chaplains with those who wish to support and encourage them. No financial commitment or aid is needed or expected. The congregation and the adopted chaplain stay in regular contact. Congregation members pray for the chaplain and his family, and, in turn, learn about his specialized ministry in the military context.
