The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML): Lutheran Women in Mission announces an opening for the position of executive director.
The executive director will:
- Embrace and articulate the mission, vision and ministry of the LWML;
- Oversee processes such as hiring, separation, staff development, performance management, and compensation and benefits;
- In collaboration and partnership with the LWML Board of Directors, develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan and oversee day-to-day operations; and
- In conjunction with the treasurer, build and maintain the biennial operating budget and administer the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitments.
Position requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, human resources, finance, marketing or related field.
- Five or more years of nonprofit management experience.
- Experience with audit, legal compliance and risk management.
- Experience with nonprofit organizational budgeting, marketing, public relations and fundraising.
- Membership in good standing of a congregation of the LCMS, preferred.
- Previous experience working in an LCMS-related capacity, preferred.
