Position announcement: CEO, Concordia Plan Services

Concordia Plan Services (CPS) seeks nominations and applicants for the position of chief executive officer (CEO), based in St. Louis. CPS provides health, retirement, disability and other employee benefits to workers and ministries of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). 

Candidates should:

  • Be a member in good standing of an LCMS congregation, faithful to the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions, and supportive of the Synod’s Constitution, Bylaws and policies;
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a master’s or the equivalent preferred;
  • Have 15-plus years of professional experience, including five in an executive capacity, in nonprofit leadership, employee benefits plans or mission-aligned financial services;
  • Be able to navigate faith-based organizational dynamics;
  • Have experience in stakeholder-heavy governance environments; and
  • Demonstrate experience with employee benefit plans.
