On March 4, Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) Secretary Rev. Dr. John W. Sias announced the names of the candidates for LCMS president, first vice-president and regional vice-presidents. The five candidates for president were then asked to provide brief personal statements and respond to six questions developed by LCMS Communications. They were asked to limit their statements and each of their answers to 100 words.
Those questions and answers, published in the May issue of The Lutheran Witness (LW), are also available online for your reference. In addition, the May LW also includes the candidates’ statements and biographical information along with a detailed overview of the convention.
