Dr. Julius Jenkins, president of Concordia College, Selma, Ala., since 1980, was honored Nov. 6 at the 15th annual Wittenberg Awards banquet in Washington, D.C.
Jenkins received one of five awards bestowed this year by the Luther Institute to honor Lutheran individuals and institutions for outstanding service to church and society. The stated mission of the pan-Lutheran organization is “to help Lutherans fulfill the citizenship dimension of their callings as Christians.”
The banquet program also included a concert presented by the faculty and staff choir of Concordia, Selma.
