Lutheran Student Fellowship (LSF), the Synod’s organization for college students, is giving away four $500 cash scholarships to students who register by Aug. 15 on the new LSF Web site. The winners will be randomly selected and notified by e-mail on Aug. 19.
The mission of LSF is to “connect students with college ministry programs and find students a church home away from home.”
Its Web site features a number of tools to help college students stay connected to their faith and to other Lutherans, including:
* a “student referral” form that is used to connect students with LSF campus chapters and other LCMS campus ministries.
* a “ministry locator map” that provides addresses and telephone numbers to nearby LCMS congregations.
* a calendar that lists upcoming LSF events for college students.
* resources and links to other LCMS ministries and campus groups, including the Lutheran Campus Mission Association, a national mission society that works in partnership with LCMS World Mission to promote ministries on college campuses nationwide.
LSF consists of numerous on-campus chapters within a dozen U.S. regions that sponsor their own local activities for students. Officers include a national president, vice president, and secretary, as well as representatives for each region — all are students.
For more information about LSF, send an e-mail to facilitator@lutheranstudentfellowship.org or visit its Web site.
