The fact that President Barack Obama has lifted restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research “is regrettable, but comes as no surprise,” says LFL Executive Director James Lamb. “This and other actions to devalue life and make the American public pay for it is exactly what he promised to do.”
Lamb urges fellow Lutherans to “not spend our time complaining” but to “seek opportunities in our congregations to apply the Word of Life to the stem cell issue.”
