Follow seminary ‘call-day’ services online

Both seminaries of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod will provide live online coverage of their call-day and assignment services.

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will stream its vicarage assignment service at 3 p.m. CDT Tuesday, April 29. The Rev. Dr. Dale L. Sattgast, president of the LCMS South Dakota District, will serve as preacher.

During a 7 p.m. worship service Tuesday, April 29, candidates for the pastoral ministry will receive their first calls to serve as pastors, missionaries and chaplains. The Rev. Dr. Russell L. Sommerfeld, president of the LCMS Nebraska District, will serve as preacher.

Both services will be held in the seminary’s Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus.

Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will provide video and audio streaming of its vicarage-placement and deaconess-internship assignment service at 7 p.m. EDT Tuesday, April 29, with the Rev. Glenn D. Meyer, pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, serving as preacher.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, the Rev. Dwayne M. Lueck, president of the LCMS North Wisconsin District, will preach at the call service for pastoral candidates.

Both services will be held in the seminary’s Kramer Chapel.
