Registration is now open at tedeum2015.org for the three Higher Things 2015 summer youth conferences. “Te Deum” is the theme of those conferences.
The 2015 conferences are scheduled for:
- July 14-17 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas;
- July 21-24, Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and
- July 28-31, Concordia University, Nebraska, at Seward, Neb.
Higher Things, an LCMS Recognized Service Organization, holds annual youth conferences and seeks to help pastors, congregations and parents instill “a distinctly Lutheran identity among youth and young adults,” according to its mission statement.
“This summer’s Higher Things conferences will rejoice in the gift of the Te Deum, the hymn of praise that gives us a foretaste of what’s happening in heaven and on earth,” said conference executive Sandra Ostapowich. “In the Te Deum, we confess all that God the Father did for us in the sending of His Son and receive a glimpse right into the divine throne room of heaven itself.”
The three conference schedules will have similar structures with specific times designated for worship, Bible study and planned entertainment options.
The $375 all-inclusive registration fee includes three nights of on-campus housing, nine meals (Tuesday dinner through Friday lunch) and all conference programming and materials. An early-bird registration rate of $345 per person is available through Jan. 31. After May 1, the registration fee increases to $400 per person.
“We ended the 2014 conferences by singing ‘We Praise You and Acknowledge You’ ” (LSB 941), Ostapowich said. “That setting of the Te Deum will serve as the 2015 conference hymn.”
