The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod is hosting a conference July 9-11 in Waukesha, Wis., for anyone “interested in learning how technology can aid the ministry efforts of churches, schools, individuals and other Gospel-sharing organizations.”
The WELSTech Conference 2015 is designed to help attendees “learn and share, teach and be taught, the many ways technology and ministry meet.”
Tracks in “Church,” “Communication,” “Office and Productivity,” “Outreach,” “School,” “System Administration,” “Tools” and “Web” will be available for pastors, teachers, technology directors and others. Presentations will cover dozens of topics that relate to using social networks, developing worship technologies, introducing tablets and Chromebooks in the classroom, networking, building a website and improving productivity.
Registration is $199 by April 1, or $225 after that date, and includes two breakfasts, two lunches and snacks.
Optional morning and afternoon pre-conference workshops — $29 each — will be held July 9.
The registration deadline is June 1.
Rooms at the Country Springs Hotel and Conference Center are available for $104 per night, which includes unlimited access to the on-site water park.
