In March’s ‘Lutheran Witness’

From front to back, mercy is the focus of the March Lutheran Witness, from its scriptural foundation to how it appears in our daily lives — whether in our personal experience; our interactions with neighbors, friends and family; or in our community or in neighborhoods, cities and countries far away.

In the March Witness, you can learn how LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison discovered the importance of mercy in the life of a Christian while serving his first parish. You also can read about opportunities to show mercy through our individual congregations, our Lutheran Young Adult Corps and the many LCMS Recognized Service Organizations.

In addition, Managing Editor Adriane Heins introduces seven deaconesses serving in mercy roles in Latin America; the Rev. John Fale, executive director of the LCMS Office of International Mission, highlights how mercy begets mercy; and the Rev. Ross Johnson, director of LCMS Disaster Response, reflects on the question, “Why Does God Allow Suffering?”
