“Liberty,” the 2017 National LCMS Campus Ministry Conference, was Jan. 4-6 on the campus of the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. LCMS college students from around the United States attended the event, which included plenary presentations, sectionals on a wide variety of topics, worship and fellowship.
The conference included the conclusion of “The Mustache Resolution,” a lighthearted campaign that raised funds for Concordia college and seminary scholarships. LCMS members voted on whether LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison or LCMS Montana District President Rev. Terry Forke had the best mustache. Forke won the vote, but both contestants had their mustaches shaved.
