Reporter Supplement: Preach the Word program assists LCMS pastors in preaching

A September 2017 Supplement to the Reporter highlights the Preach the Word program, which is designed to assist the pastors of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as they proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to their congregations and communities.

LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison observed, “Preaching is difficult business.” Because both the importance of the message and the difficulty of the task confront pastors, the LCMS offers the Preach the Word project to help pastors work together to improve their preaching.
