St. John Lutheran Church, Mount Prospect, Ill., is celebrating its 170th anniversary Sunday, September 30, with a special service at 10:30 a.m. led by Pastor Jeff G. Gavin. Special guest will be Tim Hetzner, President of Lutheran Church Charities and the nationally-recognized Comfort Dog Ministry. The service will be followed by a luncheon at a local facility.
