Celebrating its 50th year, LAMP has been witnessing to and nurturing faith in remote areas of northern Canada since 1970, with over 5,000 children, youth and adults impacted each year. LAMP is a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS.
With an annual budget of approximately $1 million, LAMP currently has over 400 active volunteers, approximately 2,000 donor relationships, and a small and dedicated staff of full-time and part-time employees in Canada and the U.S.
Due to an upcoming retirement, LAMP seeks a new executive director. With the head office located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and a satellite office in New Haven, Mich., the executive director reports to two volunteer boards of directors that act as a single entity on operational matters.
The executive director will be involved in advising the LAMP Board of Directors on operational matters; fundraising and resource development; marketing and promotion; leadership, management and administration; building and furthering relationships with Indigenous Northern Communities; financial management; and strategic planning. Candidates should be Christian and have a passion for missions. Experience working with the underprivileged is an asset. Preference may be shown to Lutheran candidates.
