The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s (LCMS) Office of National Mission offers national development grants to aid LCMS congregations, Recognized Service Organizations and districts to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches and communities by providing funding for special projects that enable Lutherans to help their neighbor in need and to further God’s kingdom.
Every year, the LCMS accepts applications for grants June 1–Aug. 1. Awards are announced in October. Grants awarded range from $1,000 to $20,000. There are three primary steps to applying for a grant: plan, apply and report. Detailed instructions on each step of the grant application are available here.
The national development grant program is funded by the generosity of John and Harriet Wiebe. That generosity continues to have an immediate impact in the kingdom of God, even years after the Lord called the Wiebes home. We give thanks to the Wiebe family for their love and dedication to our Lord and to this church.
