On Friday, Feb. 21, the boards of directors of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the LCMS Michigan District met for frank and fraternal discussion. Much of the conversation centered around the situation regarding Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor (CUWAA).
Both boards are grateful for the conversation and fellowship and — recognizing and honoring their respective duties and being respectful of the CUWAA board’s primary responsibility — pray that the Lord comfort the grieving and guide the church to a united and faithful response.
The members of both boards ask the church to be patient. This is a complicated situation. May the Holy Spirit guide the Lord’s church toward fruitfulness.
