“The Martian” tells the fictional story of an astronaut, played by Matt Damon, who’s left for dead on the surface of Mars during an emergency evacuation of a NASA science mission. The stranded astronaut must then figure out how to survive until the next manned mission to Mars arrives some four years in the future.
