From recruiting seminarians to continued learning for parish pastors, th
e subject of pastoral education has many facets. To encourage wider awareness, the LCMS Board of Directors has designated May as “Pastoral Education Month.”
Resources — including a bulletin insert, a Bible study based
on 1 Tim. 3:1-7, sermon notes, hymn suggestions, and prayers
— may be downloaded from www.lcms.org/pastoraleducation.
The site also links to information about seminary education, continuing education, health and wellness, and theological materials. After May it will offer information about the National Offering to support theological education.
