The Board of Directors of the Synod herewith calls for nominations for the position of vice president-finance/treasurer of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod upon the announced retirement of Thomas Kuchta. The Board of Directors serves as the nominations committee for this position and is required by bylaw to provide a nominee or slate of nominees to the 2010 convention (Bylaw 3.12.2, 2007 Handbook, p. 181). Constitution Art. XI E and Bylaws 3.3.4ff. (Handbook, pp. 16; 105f.) provide a description of the responsibilities of this position, which include all customary duties of a corporate chief financial officer. Names should be submitted in writing to the undersigned no later than Jan. 18.
