For the third consecutive year, Concordia Plan Services (CPS) publications have been honored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (MarCom).
The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievements by marketing and communications professionals. This year there were more than 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries. The awards were announced in November.
Cited for excellence in the 2011 competition were:
- the quarterly Benefits Bulletin, which received a second-place Gold Award in the category of “Design (Print/Newsletter).”
- Concordia Plans UPDATE — Health Care Reform News, which received a Gold Award in the “Writing/Newsletter” category and a third-place Honorable Mention in the “Brochure/Educational” category.
- Concordia Plans UPDATE — 403(b) Changes: New Funds, New Fees received a Gold Award in the “Writing/Newsletter” category, and an Honorable Mention in the “Brochure/Educational” category.
“Concordia Plan Services recognizes that clear communication is a key contributor to customer satisfaction and a positive reinforcement of our sustained commitment to employers and LCMS workers,” said Jack Pfitzer, vice-president for education and outreach with CPS. “Peer recognition of our communications is a validation of the creative and hard work of staff throughout CPS. We’re blessed with a talented work force.”
Concordia Plan Services is the employee-benefits arm of the LCMS, serving as the administrator of the four Concordia plans: Disability and Survivor, Health, Retirement and Retirement Savings. Through CPS, the Synod’s congregations, schools and other ministry organizations provide workers and their families with employee benefits.
