“You Are Not Alone — A Conference for Homeschooling Lutherans,” the Synod’s first conference for those who homeschool their children — and those who may be considering it — is planned for July 20-21 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kan.
The conference is open to families and offers separate, age-appropriate activities for children from infant through 12th grade.
Two keynote presentations — titled “Included in a Great Cloud of Witnesses” and “Fellowship Divine” — will be given by the Rev. Stephen W. Kieser, president of the Consortium for Classical and Lutheran Education and pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Evansville, Ind.
Additional sessions will be offered on topics of interest to homeschoolers — such as setting up a curriculum — and participants are encouraged to bring their used textbooks for a “Used Book Sale/Swap.”
Registration is $65 per family, or $30 for singles and couples. To register or for more information, contact conference coordinator Jenny Luedeke as soon as possible at jenniferluedeke@yahoo.com. More information also is available online at http://youarenotaloneconf2012.com.
