First-time LCMS app now available

Do you ever need to find an LCMS congregation while on the road, or to connect via social media with other LCMS Lutherans, or wish you could find a daily devotional resource, no matter where you may be?

The new, free LCMS app provides these features, and more.

web-app-IN“We’re delighted to offer this new means for LCMS people to connect to their church with their mobile devices,” said David L. Strand, executive director of LCMS Communications.  “Now, wherever you are, a wealth of beneficial resources concerning the church and our lives of faith is literally at hand.”

The easy-to-use app was jointly developed by LCMS Information Technology and Web staff. Features included in the app are based on feedback from LCMS website visitors and callers to the LCMS Church Information Center about information they most wanted to access. The most frequently sought assistance has to do with locating an LCMS congregation.

“In our increasingly mobile society, the LCMS app was developed as a tool for LCMS members on the go to remain connected to distinctly Lutheran information, including locating LCMS congregations, connecting via social-media outlets, staying up-to-date on content from the various LCMS news sources, and streaming radio from KFUO and CLASSIC99,” said Mike Metcalf, director of Information Technology Applications and Architecture for the LCMS.

Available on both the Apple and Android (Google Play) app stores, the LCMS app also features links to current giving opportunities that support LCMS mission and ministry around the world.

To get the app, search “LCMS” on the Apple or Android app stores or click here.
