Three rostered church workers recently accepted calls to positions at the Synod’s International Center in St. Louis.
The Rev. Steve Schave of Milford, Ohio, and pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cincinnati since 2008, will serve as associate executive director of the LCMS Office of International Mission. He will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the department that oversees the international mission functions based at the LCMS International Center. He will begin his new duties May 20.
Deaconess Kim Schave, a consulting accountant from Milford, will be assistant director for administration and operations for the LCMS Office of National Mission. She will facilitate project planning and budget preparation; oversee the granting function; and supervise the administrative team. She will begin June 3.
The Rev. Michael W. Meyer of Lakewood, Colo., pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Denver, will begin serving in June as manager of LCMS Disaster Response. In that position, he will support congregations and districts with disaster planning, training and assistance, and help with disaster-recovery plans and projects.
