Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and School — one block from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo. — offers a safe haven for some 1,800 terrified students.
The fifth such conference hosted by LCMS Disaster Response, it is the first to address the church’s role in the wake of man-made tragedies such as shootings or bombings.
