Terrific opportunity to share the Gospel.

  2. Rebecca Catchpole says:

Does a movie “Martin Luther, A Idea That Changed the World” have subtitle?

    1. LCMS Church Information Center says:

Thank you for your comment. The subtitle was included in the title and it is The Idea That Changed the Word.

      1. Galt says:

The question is “Does the movie contain “subtitles” (i.e. captions displayed at the bottom of a movie or television screen that translate or transcribe the dialogue or narrative.)

  3. Denise Fuelling says:

Is this truly free to congregations who sponsor the movie and to those attending?

  4. Randall Benscoter says:

The is no cost to your congregation to host a screening at your local theater. The theater does charge moviegoers usual ticket prices. A percentage of the ticket price comes back to your congregation (as the screening’s host). You can designate those funds to any special mission or ministry you choose.

  5. George Horn says:

In this anniversary year perhaps we should emphasize why we are Lutheran. With emphasis on the adherence to scripture in and out of church
Revisiting the confessions, the catechism, all of the bullworks that God used Luther to build to guard our faith and protect his word. While the rest of the world examines from a worldly standpoint what the reformation was about
And no doubt many of the stories told will evaluate it from a purely social stand point
Leaving out the key points of scripture and faith.
Having said all this I am truly looking forward
To see this film as there have been some very good ones! But as Lutherans let’s use this year as a. REFORMATION REAFFIRMATION !

  6. Catherine Bakinow says:

Is this video in closed captioning for the deaf and hearing impaired? And if it is not, why? As a hearing impaired Lutheran who is familiar with Luther’s writings, I was unable to even follow the trailer because there was no closed captioning .

    1. LCMS Church Information Center says:

Thank you for your comment. Please call the production company at (262) 558-8437 with your question.

  7. Phil Bandy says:

Has CPH produced a Bible Study or a study on Luther to go along with the movie?

    1. LCMS Church Information Center says:

Thank you for your comment. You’ll find Bible study resources at http://lutheranreformation.org/resources/bible-studies/.

  8. Kara Cress says:

What is the difference between the movies: “Martin Luther: The Idea that Changed the World” and “Return to Grace: Luther’s Life and Legacy”

    1. LCMS Church Information Center says:

Thank you for your comment. They are basically the same movie; however, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) made it more tailored to what they wanted to emphasize and changed the title.

  9. Eliza says:

Which Luther movie is this, the long version or the short version?

    1. LCMS Church Information Center says:

Thank you for your comment. The movie is one hour and forty-six minutes.

  10. Sadia says:
