Leaders in Lutheran education from across the United States are invited to attend the first-ever Lutheran School Administrators Conference, set for March 11–13, 2018, in Orlando, Fla.
The conference is being conducted collaboratively by the Association of Lutheran Secondary Schools, LCMS School Ministry and the Lutheran Education Association. Reflecting that partnership, the theme is “Leading Together,” based on Eccl. 4:12: “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him — a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
The three-day event will include workshops, sectionals, plenary sessions, fellowship and a “learning mall” for administrators of schools of all sizes and grade levels.
In addition, Disney has provided an opportunity for administrators to experience the Disney parks and its Disney Youth Education Series. Each of the two experience options can accommodate a maximum of 150 participants — available on a first-come, first-served basis — who register for the conference at the basic registration level. All registrants will receive a complimentary pass to a Disney park for the evening.
The fee for basic registration is $325 through Feb. 8, and $375 after that date. Special rates are available for spouses and emeriti Lutheran school leaders.
Attendees may stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista South in Kissimmee, Fla., for the special rate of $139 per night, per room. Complimentary wireless internet is included.
