On Saturday, April 18, at 9–10 a.m. Central time, LCMS International Mission will host a webinar titled “Life on the Field: A Missionary Spouse Perspective.” This Zoom webinar will offer a candid, behind-the-scenes look at service on the international mission field from the perspective of LCMS missionary spouses.
Missionary service is a calling that involves the whole family. For those who may be contemplating missionary service, there are many important questions that deserve thoughtful, honest conversation.
Through a panel discussion with current and formerly deployed spouses, participants will hear firsthand insights into topics such as safety, medical care, housing, children’s education, finances and the experience of raising a family in another culture.
If you or your spouse has ever contemplated missionary service but wondered what it would mean for your family, now is your chance to learn more about how God — and the church — equips and cares for missionary families as they serve around the world.
Can’t make it live? Register for the webinar, and you’ll receive a recording of the event to watch at your convenience. Participants who attend live may submit questions during the event.
Presenters scheduled to lead this webinar are:
- Deaconess Clarion Fritsche, manager of Mobilization and Training, LCMS International Mission
- Rebecca Krey, missionary spouse, Santiago, Dominican Republic
- Jennifer Preus, missionary spouse, Brasov, Romania
- Krista Trump, missionary spouse, Nairobi, Kenya
- Justin Logston, missionary spouse, Santiago, Dominican Republic
