Missouri Synod distributes $271,483 for Colorado flood relief

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 4, 2013—Following the severe flooding that inundated parts of Colorado in September, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is issuing two grants for area disaster-recovery efforts. Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Estes Park, Colo., will receive a grant of $171,483, and the LCMS Rocky Mountain District will receive $100,000.

(LHS) a $78,179 grant through the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund to expand the housing ministry’s ability to provide loans in low-income and economically distressed communities.
