DOXOLOGY, The Lutheran Center for Spiritual Care and Counsel, is partnering with the LCMS Office of National Mission to present two opportunities this fall to attend a conference on stewardship.
Participants say they appreciate the DOXOLOGY for Deaconesses conference this October in Racine, Wis., and the Grace Place Wellness retreat for deaconesses last year in St. Louis.
DOXOLOGY’s Aug. 12-13 “Finding Our Voice” conference in St. Louis helps participants speak “confidently and positively about the biblical vision for sexual fidelity.”
Discussing how to keep church workers healthy are leaders from Concordia Plan Services, DOXOLOGY, Grace Place Lutheran Wellness Ministries and Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat.
The fifth such conference hosted by LCMS Disaster Response, it is the first to address the church’s role in the wake of man-made tragedies such as shootings or bombings.
Princeton University law professor Dr. Robert P. George addresses some 175 pastors, church workers and lay leaders at the “Speaking the Truth in Love: A Compassionate Response to Same-Sex Attraction and Same-Sex Marriage” conference in Mundelein, Ill.
