The 68th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is set for July 29–Aug. 3, 2023, in Milwaukee.
The Rev. Dr. Allan R. Buss was elected to his second three-year term as president of the LCMS Northern Illinois District at the district’s 60th convention, March 11–12.
The LCMS Southern Illinois District held its 59th convention Feb. 3–5 under the theme “One Foundation.”
The LCMS South Dakota District held its 62nd convention Dec. 5–7 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The LCMS Texas District held its 62nd convention June 10–12 in San Marcos, Texas.
The Rev. Stephen Gewecke was elected to his first term as president of the LCMS New Jersey District at the district’s 19th convention, held May 21 in Clinton, N.J.
The Wyoming District convention was the first of the triennium, which was recently extended an extra year.

The committee appointed by the Synod’s Board of Directors in response to 2019 Convention Res. 7–03 to conceive of a new governance model for the Concordia University System reported on its progress at the Board’s Feb. 19 meeting.
Synod Bylaw provisions require the Secretary of the Synod to solicit on behalf of the Committee for Convention Nominations (CCN) nominees for the various positions for which the committee must provide slates of candidates for convention elections. General solicitation for such names is to begin 18 months prior to conventions of the Synod.
