The Synod’s Board of Directors elects officers for the 2013-16 triennium and takes a number of other actions.
Assembling from across the country, 49 ministry leaders representing the LCMS and its partners take part in the conference to evaluate and plan for the church’s future national Youth Gatherings.
Each evening during the July 1-5 National LCMS Youth Gathering, some 25,000 youth and adult leaders filled San Antonio’s Alamodome for a “Mass Event.” And some 5,000 took part in more than 100 area servant events.
Some 25,000 participants — including youth and adults from Botswana, Nigeria, Finland, Germany, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and Slovakia — are expected to attend the National LCMS Youth Gathering in July.

It’s official — the 2016 LCMS National Youth Gathering will be July 16-20. Stay tuned for the location.
